The Trafford Centre makes digital signage commitment

The Trafford Centre in Manchester - the UK's largest shopping and leisure destination - has agreed new commercial terms for the deployment of 23 new portrait-style digital signage units with Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO), in partnership with VMG Global.  

The Trafford Centre in Manchester - the UK's largest shopping and leisure destination - has agreed new commercial terms for the deployment of 23 new portrait-style digital signage units with Clear Channel Outdoor (CCO), in partnership with VMG Global.

 

This 10-year contract will feature a new and exclusive design, manufactured by BF Group, incorporating two 65-inch High Definition LCD panels. Each unit will also incorporate VMG's latest touchscreen technology, including way-finding and gift card balance readers.

 

As the principal form of visitor information in the venue, VMG and CCO said the units could offer advertisers the chance to reach the 35 million consumers that flow through The Trafford Centre each year.

 

Dominic Brookman, chief executive of VMG Global said: "This is another significant step forward for VMG Global and we will be announcing a number of new signings very soon to complement the digital malls pack. Having secured another of the UK's premier malls demonstrates VMG's excellence and commitment to the sector."

 

Rob Atkinson, managing director of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, who will be responsible for all sales, added: "The digital network in The Trafford Centre is a vital addition to our expanding digital portfolio and will be available to our customers from 2 November. It will be sold in conjunction with Clear Channel Outdoor's digital and traditional mall offering - incorporating top malls such as Merry Hill, Meadowhall and Cribb's Causeway. Our digital network in malls is an integral part of our market-leading multi-format portfolio, offering advertisers enhanced impact, value and reach, close to the point of purchase."
