New e-commerce site aims to make best of brick-and-mortar experience available to wider consumer base

 

UK Hi-Fi retailer, Audio T, has launched a new e-commerce website, complete with a number of new features.

 

The website, www.audiot.co.uk, represents a very different online approach for the 40-year-old Hi-Fi retailer, ensuring it works in conjunction with its 23 nationwide stores.

 

The retailer worked with digital agency Crafted Media to enable visitors to the new website to benefit from fellow hi-fi enthusiasts’ advice, with its newly introduced product message boards and they can also request a demo at their local store.

 

Individual stores now have control of their online presence by contributing to their own blog, where they are able to impart knowledge and list clearance items complete with photos and descriptions of their products.

 

One stop online shop

 

Customers are not only able to search for products by traditional methods such as brand, category and keyword, but also by those stocked at their nearest High Street store. Products can also be bought as new or, if available, at a discounted price from the clearance stock (i.e. ex-demo).

 

Ben Hockham, online manager for Audio T, said: “The light and uncluttered design throughout allows product ranges to be displayed in a clean format for easy browsing. Plus, with the introduction of relevant filtering options it gives customers full control over their searches. With an intuitive layout and clear signposting for key actions, visitors to the site enjoy a rich user experience.”
