Entrusts e-retail specialist with the development of its global e-commerce platform

Clarins has signed a multi-year global contract with e-commerce trading solutions provider, eCommera.

The e-commerce specialist will provide the global cosmetics group with its e-commerce trading platform and its e-commerce analytics solution, ‘eCommera Intelligent Trader’. These tools will be used by Clarins to increase its online presence and sales.

Clarins has selected eCommera to design, develop and deliver its new e-commerce and mobile platform, as well as to provide decision support analytics to optimise online performance.

Consistency of global approach

From a single platform, the Clarins group will deliver the sites for each of its brands including Clarins, Thierry Mugler and Azzaro perfumes, in more than 15 countries, supporting the challenges of multichannel, multi-language and multi-currency.

“We were looking for a service provider operating an end-to-end e-commerce platform, delivering robust solutions whilst remaining flexible,” said Laurent Malaveille, customer relationship management and e-commerce digital director at Clarins. “We were looking for a partner who had a successful track record of working with major brands and international players, and was perfectly connected to the digital ecosystem.”

“Trading online for groups such as Clarins requires an international capability and a flexible and agile approach,” added Andrew McGregor, eCommera chief executive. “Our intelligent analytics product will help them to make better trading decisions, which they can act upon through our trading platform.”
