Retail giant is first-to-market with affiliate revenue share community

Pan-European performance marketing company, TradeDoubler this week announced that retail giant, Tesco, is spearheading the launch of its first-to-market Affiliate Revenue Share Community (ARC).

The Tesco ARC is a bespoke solution, which provided Tesco affiliates with a suite of interactive tools and widgets with which to drive incremental sales.

TradeDoubler’s ARC platform allows developers to produce widgets, interactive creatives and other tools using merchants’ application programming interfaces (APIs) and product feeds. These tools are made available to affiliates on the merchants’ programme enabling them to drive sales more effectively with higher conversion rates and better customer engagement.

Improved product/marketing alignment

“Following a strategic review of our online marketing, we started the year with the intention of improving our creative, to better align our marketing content with our product range in a cost effective way,” said Tim Jessop, Tesco online marketing manager. “ARC enables us to address our goals by improving the customer journey from affiliate sites and helping smaller affiliates to offer more up to date content across more products, and enabling this long-tail of affiliates to drive sales and traffic through the affiliate channel more effectively.”

Simon Burgess, UK Managing Director, TradeDoubler, added: “Over the coming months, ARC will be populated with programme and vertical specific apps, for example, to full shop fronts. It’s an exciting time and we’re thrilled to be launching with the full support of one of our longest standing clients, Tesco.”
