New instore communications management is to save Northern retail specialist time and money

Dolittles, the Pet and Aquatic Superstore, based in Wolverhampton, has selected Immediate Impact from Episys to produce high quality point-of-sale (PoS) signage quickly and efficiently across the store, to save the retailer both time and money.

The retailer has experienced a period of dramatic growth, which has seen its range of products grow to over 9,000 lines. It is currently using a manual process to manage the production of instore signage, which is a mixture of shelf-edge signage, as well as on-product labelling, and this has become highly labour intensive due to the numbers involved.

Reducing manual effort

Lisa Till, director at Dolittles, said: “The manual production process for our instore signage has become more of a challenge day by day, with the amount of store effort required increasing in line with the sign volumes.

“Immediate Impact will enable us to achieve significant savings through improved efficiency and also uplift in sales through better consistency in our signs. We will be able use the Episys guidance on template design, and are looking forward to be able to dramatically reduce the cost of printing. We will also be able to add barcodes to our signage which are not currently able to do.”

Peter Lewis, Episys marketing director, commented: “Our solution is the perfect fit for Dolittles who needed a system to produce quality signage and at the same time reduce their costs and save their store associates time when changing signs across the store.”

The new signage solution will allow the retailer to create and print professional signage, with a ‘pay per use’ mechanism that only charges for the signage printed.
