Garden centre group picks Episys to provide ‘pay per use’ signage system

Garden centre group picks Episys to provide ‘pay per use’ signage system

UK garden centre group Notcutts is trialling a new signage product, Immediate Impact, from Episys, to provide its customers clear pricing of all products and consistent branding across its 19 stores.

Notcutts stocks and sells items specifically related to the seasons throughout the year. The business selected Immediate Impact because it needed a simple labelling solution in place, but flexible enough to manage seasonal items.

Streamlining signage processes

Graham Perryman, marketing manager at Notcutts, said: “Our current procedure for printing all instore signage has become extremely labour intensive. We are finding that some of our stores don’t always have the correct signage required which leads to inconsistency, something that we need to address. We attended the Episys Global Signage a labelling convention last summer and it became clear they had a solution that would benefit our business.”

Perryman continued: “We are currently in the process of installing Immediate Impact within our marketing department to manage the creation of all our seasonal promotions. The team will continue to generate the signage centrally but will no longer create signs individually. We will also be able to print the signs by store, eliminating the need for collation, reducing production time significantly.”

Peter Lewis, Episys marketing director, also said the project will also act as a proof of concept in support of moving to a storewide integrated solution in the future.
