Fashion retailer deploys Torex Retail-J to allow for global expansion and better serve overseas visitors

Fashion retailer Reiss revealed this week that it will deploy Torex Retail-J to help prepare the business for future strategic goals including global expansion and enabling overseas visitors to its UK stores to easily purchase items tax free.

Integrating tax-free facilities

The luxury retailer, which has over 100 stores worldwide, will use the point-of-sale (PoS) software to be able to offer a tax-free shopping facility through its PoS, catering for overseas visitors, who are entitled to claim tax back. This will streamline the transaction process for customers, which is anticipated to deliver a significant uplift in sales as a result.

Torex Retail-J, an integrated, web-enabled suite of in-store and central applications, gives Reiss the foundation to integrate its shopping channels and improve visibility into its trading performance helping the company to learn more about its customers’ preferences and buying patterns, according to its provider.

The system also provides a platform that will support Reiss' international expansion strategy while remaining fully Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliant and will take advantage of existing PoS hardware and gift-card facilities.
