Mattressman awakens e-commerce business with online marketplace expertise ChannelAdvisor

 

Mattressman, the largest online mattress retailer in Britain, is experiencing double-digit revenue growth using ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces solution.

 

Recognising the benefits of expanding its business online, Mattressman signed on with the e-commerce platform provider for assistance in launching on marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon. The mattress company wanted to gain additional exposure in these channels to attract new customers and develop new revenue streams.

 

Increasing visibility boosts sales

 

“Our online business has increased to a level that we have never experienced before,” commented Dave Sealey, marketplaces manager at Mattressman. “ChannelAdvisor has helped us to increase our visibility across a very competitive marketplace. By using ChannelAdvisor’s marketplaces solution we have boosted efficiencies, streamlined our online processes and increased our return on investment from our online marketing spend.”

 

Today, Amazon drives 75% of Mattressman’s marketplace business, and Mattressman experienced its most profitable month ever on Amazon in June 2011. Summer sales are up 13% over last year’s holiday sales, which was previously the most profitable time on record. Mattressman is drawing strong and stable revenue from eBay as well.
