Luxury fashion retailer combines e-commerce functionality with relevant editorial content to create new online and mobile shopping destination for loyal and new customers

Elie Tahari, a luxury lifestyle brand with a growing global presence, has launched ElieTahari.com on the Demandware software platform to drive the growth of the brand and deliver the Elie Tahari experience to a broader audience.

The privately owned retailer with 600 US stores and a presence in more than 40 countries chose Demandware for its SiteGenesis pre-built storefront application to the quick and efficient build of its new site to express its world-class brand with complete customisation and control.

Using SiteGenesis, Elie Tahari tapped into the software’s e-commerce best practices for usability, site merchandising and technical architecture, along with hundreds of apparel-optimised ecommerce features included in the Demandware Commerce platform to launch a site capable of scaling to support the company’s future growth.

Facilitating rapid speed to market

Working with Demandware and solution partner, Fluid, Elie Tahari designed and launched the ElieTahari.com site in a few months. The new website features ETC, Elie Tahari’s new online magazine built using Fluid Experience and Demandware’s technology that creates a unique shopping experience by combining ecommerce with relevant editorial content.

In conjunction with the launch of its new e-commerce storefront, Elie Tahari introduced its mobile site by using the software provider’s mobile application. With Demandware Commerce, the Elie Tahari mobile site is fully integrated into its e-commerce website, allowing it to deploy, customise and manage the day-to-day operations of the mobile channel with minimal effort. The result is a unified environment to provide customers with a consistent shopping experience.

“We chose Demandware for its ability to help us stay ahead of the curve when it comes to commerce innovation and growth, and we are very pleased to be working with them to tell our brand story and enhance the customer experience.” said Elie Tahari.
