Vodat International telephony services rationalise retailer’s call costs as part of contract extension

Fat Face, the active lifestyle clothing and accessories retailer, is expected to save £5,000 per annum on all calls.

In addition, a proposed line rationalisation programme offers a further saving of £25,000 a year, following the selection of retail communications solutions provider, Vodat International, to provide all telephony services across its stores.

Assured data connection extended

In conjunction with the new telephony services, Fat Face has recently re-signed its data network with Vodat, to provide a head office and store network infrastructure. The contract extension includes two new, larger resilient central pipe connections to its head office and Next Generation Network (NGN) ADSL2+ services to its 200 stores.

Tim Bird, head of IT at Fat Face, stated that the business was looking to increase efficiencies across the organisation and reduce the cost of all calls.

“Having been a customer of Vodat’s for over five years we turned to them for their expertise to see how we could achieve this,” Bird said. “We will now be able to handle all land line calls and communications under one roof and significantly reduce our costs at the same time.”
