The Trafford Centre has employed Blue Apricot to produce a 32-inch promotional version of its mobile app to showcase on a giant interactive iPhone display and increase downloads.

 

Caroline Aikman, marketing manager at The Trafford Centre, said the shopping destination used the giant iPhone to enhance awareness of its ‘A-List’ app.

“The giant iPhone was part of a brand engagement exercise whereby the phone was situated within our A-List lounge – a set on the malls where customers could sit and enjoy some of the features and benefits of being on the A-List, like complimentary massage and beauty treatments along with fashion advice.

 

“The set was hosted by our ‘A-List angels’ and was a great success,” Aitman said. “Blue Apricot have been very helpful in bringing the project to fruition and we are very pleased with the final product.”

 

Using innovative technology incorporating infrared sensors, the Blue Apricot screens with surrounds range in sizes from 32 to 65 inches. The app is produced in high definition (HD) and replicates the app response exactly, with gestures such as multitouch, pinch, pull, scroll, zoom and other touchscreen smartphone functions.
