Cosmetics company selects Demandware to power online growth initiatives

LUSH logoCosmetics company selects Demandware to power online growth initiatives

LUSH Cosmetics has selected the Demandware Commerce platform to power three new e-commerce storefronts in North America, along with its US, UK, Canadian English and Canadian French sites.

After evaluating several solutions, LUSH felt the power of Demandware’s on-demand model would lessen the administrative requirements of its on-premise platform, while allowing it the freedom to custom-develop and support potential multi-site global deployments.

More focus on shopping experience

“Our dedicated customer community expects a seamless, fun and positive shopping experience both in our stores and online. Focusing on the basic administrative needs of the website detracts from our ability to properly deliver the brand experiences our customers have come to expect,” said Mark Wolverton, LUSH Cosmetics North America chief executive. “With Demandware, we will be able to focus on improving our marketing, merchandising and customer experiences across all our sites while continuing to grow and expand globally.”

LUSH has a strong community of customers who love to share their thoughts around the products and social responsibility. As a result, LUSH is also working with Demandware LINK partners, Gigya and PowerReviews to create a community experience using the pre-built integration available through the Demandware LINK Marketplace.

Demandware partners LiveAreaLabs and Precision Design are working on the design and implementation of the three new LUSH North American sites.

LUSH Cosmetics sells its handmade products online and in more than 700 retail stores across 45 countries.
