InfoCash steps in to take over ex-Lloyds TSB cash machine for Kent Services Group

ATM provider InfoCash has installed new ‘through-the-wall’ cash machines at service station forecourts belonging to the Kent Services Group.

Lloyds TSB previously managed the cash machines located at the Texaco-branded sites. But InfoCash stepped in to work with the group after Lloyds gave notice that the bank’s new ATM policy meant they would no longer be able to continue supporting the units at Blindley Heath and Langton Green in Kent.

Jatin Gandhi, director of Kent Services Group, said: “In March this year, Lloyds TSB advised us that they would no longer be managing the cash machines on our service station forecourts. This was very disappointing and presented a potential commercial issue for us – the machines are extremely popular with customers using our forecourts and our Spar convenience stores. They help bring traffic to our sites and are an important revenue stream for the business too.”

New service adds advantages

He continued: “We were approached by InfoCash and were impressed by their credentials in the ATM sector and with the managed service they offered us. They worked with us to ensure a seamless transfer, as they installed new machines so that our customers experienced minimal disruption to their regular service. Our new machines are working well and we have a high volume of transactions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

David Collings, sales director at InfoCash, said: “When the High Street banks decide to pull out from sites like these it can cause a real inconvenience for the general public, as well as for the businesses concerned. For many retailers a cash machine is an important marketing tool as well as a revenue driver. On a positive note however, it presents a great opportunity for us to extend our own ATM estate.

Collings added: “We look forward to working with Kent Services Group and adding real value to their business; they will benefit from the high level of customer service that we deliver as standard, from our proactive maintenance programme – and users of their new ATMs will experience significantly improved transaction times.”
