Kerry Group achieves rapid transformation with cloud-based procurement

Irish food manufacturer Kerry Group is realising a cost-effective approach to its global procurement needs with a new cloud-based system.

The €5-billion company recently reported it was benefitting from immediate value having implemented SAP Sourcing OnDemand in less than four weeks.

The group has been an existing SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) application customer since 2010.

Cloud system integration and speed

“What we needed was,” Peter Fotios, Kerry Group director of e-procurement services, explained that the company needed an "intuitive sourcing system," integrated with its SAP back-office systems to support end-to-end procurement process. 

“SAP Sourcing OnDemand gave us the strong sourcing functionality to capture the end-to-end negotiation cycle with our suppliers, as well as the added benefit of being up and running in weeks, not months. We rolled it out smoothly in Ireland first, then England and then throughout our global operations in 23 countries,” added Fotios.
