Advent Computers website employs SpinMe technology to provide rich content e-commerce link

Advent Computers website employs SpinMe technology to provide rich content e-commerce link

Dixons Retail has relaunched its Advent Computers website to provide customers with a rich content experience, adding 360 spin and 3D imagery.

The technology is designed to deliver a rich content customer experience alongside an easy-to-follow layout that offers everyday computing advice and support.

The non-transactional site, which links to PC World and Currys e-commerce sites to enable users to buy after browsing products in more detail, has been refreshed to familiarise consumers with the brand and bring the product range to life.

Brand and product enhancing imagery

Dixons Retail, which owns the Currys and PC World brands, is working with online imagery specialist SpinMe to create the visual ‘touch and feel’ experience.

“The new site will provide a truly immersive experience that allows customers to get to know our products, as well as access a wealth of information to get the most out of their device once they have purchased it,” said Alastair Chalmers, marketing manager at Dixons Retail.

“We are excited about being able to apply dynamic imagery to the new website. Technology is a considered purchase; a lot of research goes into it and consumers can now see every detail from every angle before being led to the online stores to buy.”

Adventcomputers.co.uk was previously a simple product catalogue; however the new site provides a buyer’s guide, computing advice section and product support for Advent customers.
