Tradedoubler, the performance marketing and technology company, has been given sole charge of the affiliate marketing programme for leading entertainment and technology retail brand, HMV in a deal brokered by its media agency OMD. 

 

The appointment comes at a time when the music and entertainment industry continues to face unparalleled opportunity and change. In 2011, for the first time ever, global music sales broke through the 1.6 billion mark with digital platforms playing an increasingly important role in its consumption.

 

Adapting to market trends

 

HMV has stated its commitment to adapting to these trends and in delivering a growing portfolio of music and entertainment through an innovative multichannel marketing and sales programme. The retailer has worked with OMD for for nearly two decades now.
