Thomas Pink turns to Simply Tap

Mobile Money Network to aid launch of exclusive British & Irish Lions tour range by 2013 official outfitter

Thomas Pink has become the latest fashion retailer to sign with Mobile Money Network (MMN). 

From 30 October, the British outfitter will enable customers to buy exclusive merchandise using the Thomas Pink instant mobile check out, powered by MMN’s Simply Tap service.

The service will launch ahead of the British & Irish Lions Tour to Australia, giving rugby fans time to download the Thomas Pink instant mobile check out app and buy official merchandise.

Capitalising on multichannel offering

Alex Field, global head of marketing at Thomas Pink, said: “Using Simply Tap will enable us to invigorate all of our sales channels for what is a hugely exciting launch for the company. Mobile shopping is taking off, but the beauty of shopping powered by Simply Tap is that our customers can use it across multiple channels. This includes in store and buying direct from advertising, as well as from a dedicated mobile checkout, which will feature a market place of our full British & Irish Lions Collection.

“This gives Thomas Pink and our customers a great deal of convenience, while providing us with the opportunity to maximise the value of our sponsorship of the tour and engage with our customers in new ways.”

Existing Mobile Money Network partners Universal Music, Associated Newspapers, Carphone Warehouse, Thorntons (March/April 2012 Retail Technology magazine, p6), HMV and Pretty Green.
