Health and beauty chain arms store staff with the mobile device to assist with online orders and healthcare information

 

The High Street retailer Alliance Boots is trialling iPads and Wi-Fi in its stores to enhance its customer service and multichannel delivery.

 

Extending reach of products and services

 

Staff in 30 pilot stores have been equipped with the Apple devices to help enable customers place online orders instore with access to the full product range. Some community pharmacy stores will also offer additional healthcare information by accessing its medical advice site, BootsWebMD.

 

Ruth Spencer, director of loyalty and multichannel at Alliance Boots, stated that the iPad technology would, “enable our colleagues to bring to life the fantastic range of products available at Boots UK”.
