First e-commerce site features dynamic imaging and interactive content to reach international audience

Starley Bikes recently launched its first e-commerce operation to sell directly in the UK and introduce the brand to international customers.

The British high performance cycling brand, which promotes the name of two of the most influential bike engineers in history, appointed online imaging specialist SpinMe to provide a flawless viewing experience of each model from every angle using high quality flat, 360 spin and 3D spin imaging.

Catering to growing e-commerce demand

“Interest in Starley Bikes both in the UK and abroad is growing and our new e-commerce website offers customers a more convenient way to buy from us,” said Richard Peel, director of Starley Bikes. “Our products are high quality and the photography represents our brand image – SpinMe’s software and hardware allows us to display bikes in the best way possible online. People can zoom in for stunning clarity and view any part of a bike from any angle.”

Starley Bikes are designed and hand built in the UK and the brand sponsors a number of British triathletes. The company also ran a Facebook competition to win a new bike, with the winner revealed on Starley Bikes’ new e-commerce site, to create interest in the run up to the launch.

“Premium products need to be represented well online – imaging is absolutely key to this,” added David Brint, marketing director at SpinMe.
