US automotive convenience retailer selects new cloud-based software for supplier collaboration to streamline communications with vendor network

Love’s has selected ARC Vendor Link, a cloud-based retailer and supplier collaboration system from retail business intelligence (BI) vendor Manthan Systems, for improved control over procurement processes.

The new communications and analytics system will be used to optimise new product launch processes, cost and promotions data management and to support vendor on-boarding. With more than 12,000 employees, Love’s operates more than 310 stores in 39 states across the US under the brands Love’s Travel Stops, Love’s Country Stores, and Love’s Truck Tire Centre.

ARC Vendor Link will help Love’s provide improved visibility and process automation with form-based templates and a robust and flexible workflow engine for supplier management, merchandising, marketing and supplier-related financial transactions.

Smarter working and decision making

The anticipated benefits also include decreased time spent managing vendor transactions with collaboration automation including vendor on-boarding, vendor agreements, new product introductions and pricebook data automation; reduced out-of-stocks and faster promotion chargeback with better internal visibility; enhanced vendor relationship management with vendor scorecarding and performance tracking; and improved category performance with smarter purchasing decisions.

“We selected ARC Vendor Link because of its wide array of strategic benefits and quick time-to-value” said Jay Dempsey, manager of merchandise technology and development at Love’s.

“Manthan has proven the business value of the ARC solution suite time and time again. This solution has become a strategic platform for all retail analytics at Love’s, including supply chain and vendor analytics.”
