Printing and identification solutions provider launches specialist tabletop printer to help food service companies comply with HACCP standards

Avery Dennison FreshMarx 9415Printing and identification solutions provider launches specialist tabletop printer to help food service companies comply with HACCP standards

Avery Dennison has launched the FreshMarx 9415TM Automarx label printer. The new tabletop printer has been specifically designed to eliminate the common labelling and administrative problems associated with keeping track of perishable foodstuffs in kitchen environments.

The FreshMarx 9415TM Automarx is a fast, easy-to-use printer with two thermal-direct print heads. This allows restaurants, hotels and caterers to date-code their produce and helps to guarantee the safe storage of foodstuffs. The double print head makes it possible to print two different labels simultaneously: e.g. one for ingredient or nutritional information for takeaway items, the other for preparation and disposal information in the kitchen environment.

The automated system eliminates the need for separate hand-labellers and day-of-the-week stickers, employee calculations and guesswork, according to Avery. A push of the button produces an accurate freshness label that can help you successfully meet Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety standards.

Automation improves accuracy, compliance

Automating these tasks means there are no date and time calculations to make, so procedures are reduced to simply selecting the category, food product and amount of labels required from the intuitive touch screen interface – everything else is automatic, it added.

The FreshMarx 9415TM Automarx also features an Ethernet connection and USB port connectivity, an internal battery back-up in the event of power outages, and employee ID to aid transparency in tracking food preparation. The printer can store up to 480 product options in multiple languages.

“We have developed the FreshMarx 9415TM Automarx to be the most time-efficient and easy-to-use printer for the food service industry. The FreshMarx system is ready to use out of the box, and each user can choose from a range of formats for each label, as well as choose the type of adhesive that is needed for each food product,” said Michael Schaberl, Market segment manager food service at Avery Dennison Printer Systems Division, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
