ZBD forms strategic partnership with ePLUM provider Invatron Systems Corp.

ZBD forms strategic partnership with ePLUM provider Invatron Systems Corp.

ZBD, the e-paper for retail specialist, has announced a partnership with Invatron Systems Corp., a leading provider of integrated retail enterprise software solutions focusing on fresh departments within grocery stores.

The two companies have worked together to integrate ZBD’s electronic shelf labelling system (ESEL) with Invatron’s ePLUM Scale Management solution and will focus specifically on the fresh departments of grocery retailers.

The partners said the tie-up means ePLUM Scale Management can be used to distribute time-sensitive data and product information to ZBD’s electronic price tags at the same time the fresh department weigh scales are updated. This will ensure compliance of pricing, description, Country of Origin and other important text and/or graphics to the customer-facing shelf displays.

Partners target dynamic integration

Retailers can now minimise the effort and costs associated with printed signage and manual deployment in favour of dynamic pricing, promotions and product information through the ePLUM/ZBD integration, according to the companies.

Commenting on the partnership, Tom Barclay, director of sales for Invatron Systems Corp. said: “Partnering with ZBD was a clear choice for us. ZBD’s displays complement our application and, combined with the solution’s minimal infrastructure requirements, will add considerable value to our proposition.”

Tony Pusateri, business development vice president for ZBD, added: “The collaboration with Invatron Systems Corp. will provide retailers with price integrity right down to the scale level, eliminating any data integrity issues. Working together, we will enable grocery retailers to achieve a number of cost and labour savings while giving their customers complete confidence in their pricing and data strategies.”
