Co-op connects festival-goers at highland fling
Thursday July 28 2016
Revellers at the Belladrum music festival will be able to get connected at the Co-op wifi village
This will be a first at the Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival, which takes place in the Highlands between 4-6 August.
The wifi village will be alongside Co-op’s pop-up shop, which will be the only national branded shop on site.
Alasdair Fowle, Co-op’s marketing manager, said: “As a community retailer, we’re at the heart of people’s communities and providing the festival’s wifi village is a great way to help keep festival goers connected with their online social communities. Together with our pop-up shop, which is back by popular demand, we’re helping the 17,000 party goers fuel both their virtual and real-life appetite.”
Joe Gibbs, the festival founder, added: “You won’t find me on snapchat, but it’s brilliant that the Co-op will be bringing this extra element to the festival this summer. Connectivity in the Highlands is paramount for tourism and industry, to make sure that we remain relevant in the context of the globally connected world.”
