Tesco expands Scan as you Shop

By Retail Technology | Tuesday September 6 2016

Tesco has announced it is to roll out its Scan as you Shop device to an additional 20 stores

The service allows cost-conscious customers to keep track of what they're spending by scanning products as they walk round the store as well as check out quicker.

The latest expansion of the service will mean it is available in nearly 350 stores across the UK.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Scan as You Shop is already used by over 600,000 customers every week, and not only saves time at the checkout, it enables customers to track their spend as they go too."

The retailer has also introduced a new TV advert about the service to drive awareness.
