By Retail Technology | Monday September 12 2016

Luxury retailer Michael Kors has launched its Access smartwatch as part of its new wearable technology range

Compatible with both iPhone and Android phones, the Access line uses Google’s Android Wear smartwatch platform and will also include activity trackers.

The Access smartwatch features a touchscreen display that provides social media updates, text and email alerts, a built-in fitness tracker and magnetic charging.

"Our customers love fashion and they’re plugged in 24/7," said Michael Kors. “I think they’ll appreciate having social connectivity and health and fitness tracking all within a great-looking accessory.”

The smart watch will be launched in 18 countries via a global digital and print advertising campaign, including a video featuring Zendaya and Martha Hunt.
