Next-generation system offers empowering self-service capabilities

 

OPTIMUS2, an employee self-service terminal from Accu-Time Systems (ATS), will be launched tomorrow, Wednesday, March 24th, at the International Security Conference (ISC) West in Las Vegas, Nevada.

 

It maker said OPTIMUS2 takes the successful features of its predecessor, OPTIMUS I, to a new level. OPTIMUS2 is the company’s premier workforce management terminal and, like OPTIMUS I, it has been designed to allow companies to empower their employees with self-management of schedules, time and attendance approvals, benefits administration and messaging, along with other applications.

 

The OPTIMUS 2 now features an expanded 128x128 memory, internal USB connectivity, a tamper-resistant keypad with integrated Braille alphabet, a large colour screen, improvements to the internal circuitry and a long-lasting high-strength enclosure.

 

Building on the best of first generation

 

Larry Dawson, ATS vice president of marketing, said: “With OPTIMUS2, we took all of the attributes our customers liked in the first OPTIMUS and made them better, while also adding new features. OPTIMUS2 will provide even more capabilities for companies to efficiently manage their workforces and for their employees to manage themselves. When employees can manage their own schedules, approve their own time cards, enrol in benefits programmes, request holiday and perform many other functions for themselves at a kiosk, then companies can significantly lower their administrative costs.”

 

The new OPTIMUS2 terminal also offers biometric, barcode, contact and contactless card reader options, 10 programmable ATM-style function keys, advanced file management, self-diagnostics capabilities, an internal modem, programming via ATS’ Universal Command Set, and many other customisable options that the manufacturer said would benefit human resource (HR) and information technology (IT) professionals. All of ATS’ products include a one-year warranty.
