Independent bike retailer supports expansion plans with investment in new Eurostop retail system

Independent bike retailer supports expansion plans with investment in new Eurostop retail system

Ride, an independent specialist cycle shop in Newcastle Upon Tyne, has selected retail management systems supplier, Eurostop for its retail solution.

Ride is using Eurostop’s e-rmis for the back office functions and e-pos in store. The store sells a wide range of bikes, clothing, cycling accessories, upgrades and spares with a workshop for repairs, custom builds and a wheel building service. Since using the new system, the store is able to provide a vastly improved customer service through improved stock management.

The independent retailer chose Eurostop for its proven experience in the retail sector and competitive product pricing. Using e-rmis, the store is using sales history reports to replenish stock, enabling it to meet customer requests more efficiently. The sales teams now have better knowledge of what is in stock for in-store sales and repairs in the workshop.

Holistic view drives greater efficiency

Tim Binks, store manager for Ride commented: “With Eurostop’s systems we have a complete picture of our sales transactions that we can refer to. With so many product lines, it was difficult to keep track of what was selling. Now we can provide a much better service to our customers by being able to quickly see what is in stock, ensure we restock popular items and provide accurate estimates for repairs.

“With a tighter control on our stock management and ability to see which product lines are selling, we can also improve our marketing. Eurostop’s systems will provide an excellent foundation upon which we can build to meet our ambitious growth plans, including an online store – and make sure that we stay in profit.”

Phillip Moylan, Sales and Marketing Manager at Eurostop Systems said; “The independent retailer has two key challenges to be successful – meeting customer needs, while also managing cash flow for stock levels and profitability. Eurostop’s systems have been developed to help stores capture sales at till point and manage stock efficiently, whether on one site or across multiple stores. They provide the necessary sales data to enable businesses to manage capital outlays, while also meeting fluctuating sales demands.”
