Jos. A Bank tailors product data

By Retail Technology | Sunday March 26 2017

Men’s fashio retailer Jos. A Bank has been seeing the benefits of a new product intelligence platform

The company has been using an Edgecase platform to create and optimise the retailer’s product data to deliver a more inspiring shopping experience for customers.

Jos. A Bank – part of Tailored Brands - selected the Enrich platform to unlock operational efficiencies while improving product findability and relevancy.

The Edgecase platform has created more than 60,000 new product values, or product attributes for Jos. A Bank and the company has reported a 7.8% improvement in filter engagement since going live with the platform in January.

Consistent

To transform its site experience by incorporating the language of shoppers, Jos. A Bank needed a solution that would make its online product data more consistent and relevant.

The Edgecase platform normalises this search and navigation language and enriches product data by filling in the gaps with consistent ecommerce structured product data.

This allows Jos. A Bank customers to more easily find the right product using search terms that are more familiar to them.

“Prior to working with Edgecase, not all products on the Jos. A Bank site were tagged with all the right product attributes. Edgecase not only cleaned up those attributes, but added more relevant ones to better help our customers find the right products. Furthermore, this platform has saved us significant hours in product curation time,” said Samantha Lee, VP of site management and customer experience, Tailored Brands.
