Nordstrom embraces Snapchat for Anniversary Sale

US department store Nordstrom will make particular use of Snapchat for this year’s annual Anniversary Sale which begins 21 July

It will include a Snapchat geofilter for shoppers to share their location in any full-line Nordstrom store and an exclusive Snapchat lens featuring accessories on sale during the event which is unlocked via Snapcodes printed on coffee cups, catalogues and other items in-store.

In addition, a "Scan + Shop" feature will give consumers the opportunity to add items from the print catalogue to their Nordstrom app through a smartphone camera.
