Adidas turns to AR with Snapchat

By Retail Technology | Monday December 17 2018

Footwear and sports clothing giant Adidas is taking advantage of SnapchatÂ’s augmented reality tools with its latest product launch

The company is using the popular social media platform to allow potential customers to walk into a virtual Adidas store as part of the campaign for its new Ultraboost 19 sneakers.

Through the Snapchat lens, users will be able to pick up a pair of shoes and walk into them to simulate the sensation of trying them on physically.

Adidas says the AR preview is the first time Snapchat has partnered with a trainer brand to let users try on a product through its native lens.
