Retailers go vegan with browser extension

Sainsbury’s, Holland & Barrett, M&S and Topshop have gone live with a new browser extension that helps vegan shoppers

The Vegan Filter is a Chrome browser extension that automatically sets vegan filters when consumers browse third-party websites. 

By providing a shortcut to vegan products, it addresses key challenges for vegan shopping online: product access and transparency. 

The Vegan Filter is the latest product launched by London-based retail technology startup Xarista. Functionality is currently available for groceries, fashion and cosmetics.

On day of launch, The Vegan Filter scored second on Product Hunt, a daily leaderboard for the best products and services launched worldwide.
