Update aims to help online retailers manage their web stores and improve shopper experience

 

Actinic, the e-commerce solutions supplier for small and medium-sized businesses, announces the release of version 10 of its range of e-commerce software comprising of Actinic Catalogue, Actinic Business, Actinic Business Plus and Actinic Enterprise.

 

Actinic v10 incorporates new features and improvements to assist retailers in managing and marketing their online stores.

 

Focus on front and back office

 

Chris Barling, Actinic chief executive said: “The latest version of Actinic E-commerce introduces several new features that many of our merchants have requested. Retailers will benefit from real-time stock control and additional marketing functionality to help increase sales, while their customers will see improvements to their shopping experience.”

 

The company pointed to new features in Actinic v10, which include real-time stock control to provide improved stock management for retailers and automatic, up-to-date visibility of stock levels for shoppers. For multichannel retailers, this also enables stock synchronisation between the website, offline ordering and Actinic’s electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) till system.

 

The new version also features customer feedback integration with Feefo’s feedback forum system, which is designed to enables the merchant to display independent customer feedback on the website. This can help to increase conversions to sales, as well as enhance the site’s search engine optimisation (SEO), according to the company.

 

Customer features improve service

 

Streamlined checkout has been added to improve the shopper experience by reducing the number of checkout steps, while a new ‘recently viewed’ products marketing feature shows the shopper a list of products that they have previously viewed on the website.

 

Commenting on the v10 release, Richard Cooper, marketing director of Polished Bliss said: "Actinic has been core to our business since 2005. It has proven itself to be flexible, reliable and very user friendly and has helped increase revenue by 48% per annum for the last three years. The release of Actinic v10, with its improved functionality, will contribute significantly to the continued growth of our business."

 

Available now, the company said Actinic Catalogue and Actinic Business pricing remains unchanged at £399 and £799 respectively, for single-site, single user licences. Actinic Business Plus is £1,249 excluding VAT plus £300 per additional networked user. Actinic Designer is £350. And Actinic Enterprise is priced at £4,000 for a two-user system plus £500 per additional user.
