Specialist retail IT distributor expands its product portfolio

EPoS Distributor, the York-based specialist retail IT distributor, is pleased to announce that it is expanding its current product portfolio following its recent appointment as a UK distributor for the electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) retail hardware products of Posiflex.

EPoS Distributor is now stocking Posiflex’s core PoS products including EPoS terminals, customer displays, cash drawers, magnetic stripe readers, thermal receipt printers, touchscreen monitors and programmable keyboards.

Quiet operation and space-saving design

The core EPoS terminals will include the KS-6215Plus fan-free system designed for hospitality and retail environments, offering a high quality terminal at competitive pricing, according to the distributor. The KS-6215Plus is powered by a 1.5GHz processor and incorporates a 15-inch LCD screen. Housed within an aluminium case and textured on high-gloss polycarbonate front bezel, this series adds a fashionable spotlight to retail counters, while providing effective ventilation for quiet operation.

The KS-6815N is designed under the concept of high performance, excellent reliability with an inexpensive price, and the small footprint is perfect for hospitality environments, added the company. It runs an Intel ATOM 1.6GHz processor, includes a 15-inch touch LCD panel with an optional built-in emergency uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to avoid sudden loss of power during transaction. This terminal’s dust and water-resistant design (IP44 capable) and sealed vents and screen, opens up a wide range of possible applications, especially in hospitality environments. The KS-6815N is a solid, high quality terminal designed with ease of maintenance and serviceability in mind, according to the firm.

Taking on touchscreen developments

The JIVA-8315 is a touch terminal designed for environments that require increased performance at the front-end workstation. The JIVA-8315 terminal features a 15-inch LCD screen, 1.9GHz Intel Dual Core processor and space-saving design for retail, hospitality, convenience stores and healthcare ernvironments.
