World’s leading digital entertainment brand to deploy fraud prevention platform in Europe
Sony Style Store has signed an agreement with enterprise-wide transaction risk screening services provider, Accertify.
The division of Belgium-based Sony Europe will use Accertify’s Interceptas platform as the foundation for its enterprise-wide fraud prevention strategies across the European Sony online shops.
“Since our founding in Tokyo in 1946, Sony has developed a reputation as a global innovator in the digital entertainment industry,” said Philippe Depautex, general manager of sales and operations for Sony Style Store Europe and co-chairman of the Merchant Risk Council Europe.
Getting in on anti-fraud success
“We have chosen to enhance our current fraud prevention platform with Interceptas in order to achieve the same success other Accertify customers are experiencing. Accertify’s solution will enhance our fraud protection, improve customer service and provide us with greater control.”
Accertify said protects a growing, global number of market leaders and blue-chip companies in the retail, travel, electronics, social networking, digital download, event ticketing, online gaming, money transfer and other industries. It added that its clients have documented reductions of 70% or more in their fraud rates in a matter of a few months, along with dramatic declines in fraud-related labour requirements and improvements in online customer service.
“Card-not-present fraud is a growing cost for merchants in Europe. We’re excited to offer Sony Europe the same industry-leading platform that has become the benchmark of innovation in North America,” added Andy Lee, European director of professional services for Accertify.
