Vocollect announces SAP certification

Vocollect's solution portfolio provides productivity improvements for customers using SAP warehouse systems

Vocollect, a provider of voice-centric solutions for mobile workers, has announced that its VoiceDirect enterprise resource planning (ERP) 1.0 voice solution has been certified by SAP for integration with the SAP Warehouse Manager (SAP WM) and Extended Warehouse Manager (SAP EWM) applications.

As a SAP software solution partner with solutions that have been certified by SAP, Vocollect said it now offers direct-integrated as well as middleware-based voice-directed workflow solutions in support of the German supply chain software provider. This will help customers and integrators to significantly improve the productivity and accuracy of their distribution centre (DC) and/or warehouse operations, it added.

The announcement follows SAP Integration and Certification Centre certification of Vocollect VoiceDirect ERP 1.0 integration with SAP's ITS Mobile, providing connectivity to SAP WM and SAP EWM to exchange critical data with instances of SAP Business Suite applications.

The Vocollect Voice solutions integrate with SAP WM and SAP EWM. This facilitates the pragmatic investment of voice-centric technology that drives quantifiable bottom-line improvements by 5% or more, according to the specialist provider. Vocollect Voice can be applied to enhance common DC/warehouse tasks such as picking/order selection, replenishment, put-away and cycle-counting. For added customer flexibility and choice, Vocollect Voice can be deployed on Vocollect Talkman mobile computing devices and a range of industry leading mobile devices.

Integrators familiar with SAP solutions can also make use of existing proficiency in ABAP programming language, HTML and XML to support customer workflow needs and extend the total solution to voice-enable DC and warehouse transactions. The Vocollect certification will now allow it to target system integrators (Sis( knowledgeable in SAP solutions to undertake the voice enablement of their SAP warehouse operations.

Offering middleware-based alternative
