Irish grocery retailer enters agreement with digital marketing company, TradeDoubler

Irish grocery retailer enters agreement with digital marketing company, TradeDoubler

One of Ireland’s leading supermarket chains, Superquinn has signed an affiliate marketing agreement with TradeDoubler.

The programme is designed to drive grocery sales on Superquinn’s online site, superquinn.ie, with particular emphasis on the acquisition of new grocery sales customers, as well as high transaction orders.

Superquinn operates 23 stores in Ireland, predominantly based in Leinster, with a number of stores also in Munster. The retailer is known for offering high levels of customer service and for being an innovator in the marketplace, having introduced Ireland's first supermarket loyalty card, SuperClub, in 1993 (now Superquinn Reward Card).

Expanding multichannel base

It also introduced self-scanning of goods by customers in a number of its outlets. It maintains strong links with Irish suppliers and producers, with over 80% of its own brand ranges produced in Ireland. Superquinn is also part of the Irish Internet shopping portal Buy4Now, which provides internet shopping services for a number of Irish retailers.

“We were pioneers in the online grocery market in Ireland and our Internet shopping portal represents a significant market opportunity for us,” said John Smith, head of online for Superquinn.ie. “Our agreement with TradeDoubler will help ensure we are driving high volumes of targeted traffic to our online site and provide us with instant access to qualified, high trafficked publisher sites.”
