Digital signage roll out will improve dynamic information delivery and drive sales

Digital signage roll out will improve dynamic information delivery and drive sales

Burger King has selected LG Electronics and Instoremedia to install LCD Menu screens in several of its restaurants.

The screens will replace traditional translite displays and will be used to drive sales, increase flexibility and reduce operating costs.

“The screens are cost-effective, and in line with the ongoing refurbishment of our restaurants,” Mel Edwards of Burger King said. “We use animated content to drive sales, while immediate price and product updates give us a competitive advantage.”

Signage drives strong up-sell

“We have already seen a good up-sell from a recent screen campaign,” franchisee, Django Fung of Zing Leisure said. “We plan to install the solution in more restaurants moving forward.”

The Burger King Menu Board solution uses six LG4213 42-inch, LG3702 37-inch or LG4224 42-inch commercial LCD flat screen panels, running a mixture of animations and tariff information. The screens are mounted over the counter, can play HD content and are controlled by three Instoremedia DUAL Players.

The Instoremedia Digital Signage solution will enables Burger King to update animations and prices in a range of formats including MPEG, Flash and Silverlight.

“This is our first major project with LG, and we’ve had an excellent experience.” John Muir of Instoremedia added. “Their flexibility and new partner programme helped us deliver a solution to the client quickly, efficiently, and at the right price.”
