Sports equipment manufacturer adds user-generated content to its Facebook page and across 30 European sites

Sports equipment manufacturer adds user-generated content to its Facebook page and across 30 European sites

ASICS, the sports shoes and clothing manufacturer, recently revealed that it is working with Bazaarvoice to enable customers and fans to share feedback with each other online and via Facebook.

The manufacturer is using Bazaarvoice to power customer feedback on its Europe brand sites and for Facebook applications, to harness customer-generated content and incorporate it across all aspects of the business, from product design to marketing.

The new features are designed to enable ASICS customers to rate their purchases and provide opinion on fit, quality, reliability and performance directly on the Facebook fan page, as well as across the brand’s 30 websites in 15 different languages in the coming months, with functionality already live in the UK.

Social networking integration

The Ratings & Reviews application for Facebook allows ASICS customers to discuss their latest purchases and share content with their peers on the familiar social networking site.

The Bazaarvoice technology sits on the Facebook fan page as a Reviews tab, displaying a catalogue of available ASICS goods and related customer feedback. This gives consumers the convenience of being able to explore products by using the opinions of their friends and other Facebook users who have ‘Liked’ the product or the brand. Shoppers can also get detailed product information on the product page of the ASICS website.

The Ratings & Reviews platform lets customers collaborate and share feedback, helping each other make more informed decisions when buying online from the ASICS e-commerce site.
