UK online travel agency signs exclusive deal with affiliate network

 

Onthebeach.co.uk has exclusively appointed Affiliate Window to handle its performance marketing activity.

 

The partnership will introduce new resources to On the Beach through the tools available via the Affiliate Window interface, including capabilities for segmenting, recruiting and analysing publishers on the programme. This combined with a reporting facility, dedicated account management team, and travel specialist within the publisher services department will boost performance activity for the agency.

 

David Hall, publisher services director at Affiliate Window, said: “Travel is a highly competitive sector, so it’s crucial for us to deliver niche, content related sites within the travel vertical that will help drive incremental sales to the On the Beach programme.”

On the Beach has introduced a new in-house system capable of mapping the customer journey and applying rulings to affiliates for payment. Although this system is still in beta, there are two key metrics that will be considered including assigning different values to affiliates dependent on their average position within the journey, and sharing commissions proportionally to all publishers involved in the overall sale.

 

In the fourth quarter of this year On the Beach will be expanding its global reach by launching affiliate programmes in five key European territories. The new programmes will be managed by Affiliate Window’s sister network zanox and feature On the Beach’s new brand, eBeach. Collaborating with both networks on a global scale will allow On the Beach to share learning’s between the different brands and deliver a strong proposition with cross-territory knowledge and expertise.

 

On the Beach has been recognised by Hitwise as one the most popular sites in the UK and ranked 74th on the IMRG/Hitwise Top 100 Hotshops for 2011.
