Capital Hair & Beauty upgrades till systems as part of modernisation to support sales growth

Hair and beauty wholesaler Capital Hair & Beauty has upgraded its electronic point-of-sale (EPoS) systems as part of plans to deliver a more modern look and feel to its stores and to support growth plans.

With 30 stores across the UK, Capital Hair & Beauty wanted update its till systems, appointing independent hardware retailer, EPOS Partners, to help review its requirements.

The company decided to deploy 15 inch, ST-A20 Toshiba terminal screens, pre-loaded with its chosen software by EPOS Partners and supplied with Epson TM-H6000iv receipt printers.

Enhancing store look and feel

Phil Dobson, Capital Hair & Beauty IT manager, explained: “Ideally, what we wanted was a range of equipment that gave a stylish and modern feel to our stores and supported the vibrant and fresh feel of our brand. As times have moved on, technology has advanced too and we felt we may be missing a trick by not exploring other options.”

Having been established in 1954 as a scissor sharpening company, selling a wide variety of hair and beauty products to the professional hair and beauty trade today, Capital has since purchased further terminals and printers for additional stores.

EPOS Partners reported that Capital is continuing to review its EPoS provision across its store network.
