Cash and carry brand embraces digital communications throughout its stores and considers stocking the first non-food item

Cash and carry brand embraces digital communications throughout its stores and considers stocking the first non-food item

East End Foods has expanded its digital signage network into its newest £10m depot at Aston Cross in Birmingham, which has been designed to become the brand’s flagship store.

The digital communication system that now stretches across all of its three outlets is aimed at ensuring consistent branding and messaging and communicating timely and relevant information to customers, who are shop and restaurant owners.

Ensuring return on marketing investment

Digital posters installed at checkout points are being used to show adverts of leading brands within the store and the entire screen network of thirteen displays is funded exclusively through third-party advertising. Landscape digital displays located between aisles also show corporate news and communications. All screens are centrally controlled from East End Food’s headquarters using a cloud-based application, digitalsignage.NET, from Dynamax and were provided and installed by Chamber TV.

Jason Wouhra, East End Foods director, said: “We have been working with Chamber TV for four years and have found their digital signage solutions very effective in driving customer awareness of instore activity. Having recently expanded our network again to our new depot at Aston, we can conclude that we have always benefited greatly from the emerging technology provided through Chamber TV and Dynamax.”
