Leisure and garden chain extends store investment to streamline its signage, promotions and ticketing processes in order to support business growth and agility

The Range recently revealed it had extended its investment in store signage management systems from its longstanding specialist supplier, Pierhouse.

The retailer has been using NetTickIT Publisher from Pierhouse successfully for more than four years to deliver clear and consistent store signage and communications to customers.

As a fast growing UK retail chain, the home leisure and garden chain is adding 45 stores to its 77 already in place and needed an instore signage management partner to meet the rapidly changing needs of their business.

Chris Dawson, founder of The Range, stated: “We’re growing fast and we need to make sure that our instore signage is as agile as we are. That’s why we chose Pierhouse to help us deliver on our future plans.”

Keeping pace with business change

To meet growth plans and other business changes, The Range determined that it needed a best of breed solution that could scale with its longer term plans without disruption and delivered new functionality to make processes more agile and simpler. It also needed its signage management system to make information available to decision makers very fast and remove reliance on separate standalone systems and ensure full compliance. Any new system also had to allow for urgent product or pricing changes to be made very fast.

After researching the market The Range selected NetTickIT OnePoint from Pierhouse. This system provides a single intelligent repository for relevant data for customer communications. It then automatically organises appropriate information for the production of price tickets, product information and promotional signage.

The Range stocks over 65,000 different products that change frequently. As a result, its signage management system and related processes are an important component of their business.
