Bakers Toolkit appoints payments processor

New baking venture of Apprentice contestant Luisa Zissman manages online customer transactions securely and provides fraud protection
Bakers Toolkit, the cake decorating and baking product firm, has enlisted Secure Trading to provide the payment processing for all customer transactions.
The deal sees the payments provider handling every card payment processed through the Bakers Toolkit website, as well as providing a comprehensive suite of counter fraud services to protect transactions.
Bakers Toolkit is run by Apprentice star and entrepreneur Luisa Zissman. After missing out on investment from Lord Sugar in last year's final, Zissman went on to launch the brand after selecting three investors from 16 suitors.
Efficiency and security prove essential
The business-to-business (B2B) operation offers a range of professional cake decorating and baking products at High Street prices. As well as its online offering, Bakers Toolkit products are stocked in a number of High Street shops.
Secure Trading stated that its payment gateway boasts "unrivalled uptime" and processes all major credit and debit cards in multiple currencies, as well as offering numerous alternative payment methods.
Tom Dixon, marketing executive at Bakers Toolkit, stated: “Our customers are king, so we needed to make sure that the payments element of our website was efficient and secure. That’s exactly what we’ve got with Secure Trading, who’ve been professional and supportive since the beginning of our relationship.”
