Specsavers eyes tech transformation

By Retail Technology | Tuesday April 25 2017

Optical retailer Specsavers is undergoing a £17.6 million tech upgrade across its 1,179 stores across Europe

Fujitsu has been selected for the transformation programme which will enable Specsavers to deliver an improved customer experience by making better use of customer data and enhancing the employee environment by allowing employees to be more informed and empowered to improve service, track orders and incidents.

The new service will facilitate Specsavers’ store availability, speed to market of new customer optical services as well as reducing the cost of delivery. Specsavers store partners will also be able to focus on serving customers and running their businesses thanks to the end-to-end intelligent services delivered by Fujitsu.

Fujitsu is a great partner in helping us with our international journey owing to its extensive global retail capabilities and consulting expertise,” said Phil Pavitt, global CIO at Specsavers. “We are more than just about selling glasses; we want to change lives for the better. To do that we need to continuously adapt how we best serve customers. With Fujitsu, we are excited to be partnering with a company that shares our passion for putting the customer first.”
