By Retail Technology | Thursday June 1 2017

Iconic beauty brand has launched an augmented reality (AR) option on its website

The app enables customers to virtually try out different shades of makeup by uploading a photo of themselves or starting a live video.

Modiface is supplying the technology behind the app which combines latest technology in AR, facial tracking and computer graphics.

Stephane de La Faverie, global brand president at Estée Lauder, said: “We are especially delighted that this capability is provided to our consumers across all platforms, including mobile, web, and tablet, directly on the product page where it can make the biggest impact.”
