Amazon drone patent creates buzz
By Retail Technology | Wednesday June 28 2017
Amazon’s latest patent filing associated with its drone air delivery project is for beehive-like multi-level fulfilment centres
Delivery drones will be able to take off and land at the facilities which would be built to blend into urban areas.
The patent application was filed in December 2015 and published on Thursday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
It would also support traditional truck deliveries and include a self-service pick-up area for customers.
