Specsavers unveils CGI vision

By Retail Technology | Friday December 3 2021

Optician and eyewear retailer Specsavers is using CGI to showcase its products online

Specsavers has partnered with 3Dctrl to enable its creative business The Agency to produce high quality 3D product animations itself in minutes, from anywhere, reducing cost and time associated with photography by up to 80%.

It now has full creative control over their entire product library in 3D, and will power all product focused content across ecommerce, social and digital advertising.

Designers are able to rapidly prototype, configure, create and render professional quality (photo-real) 3D in minutes without the need for any prior 3D animation skills or knowledge, and all within the cloud.

Helen Arnold, creative technologist, The Agency, said: “Specsavers strives to give the best possible experience to our customers and showcase our great range in ground-breaking ways. Our partnership with 3Dctrl gives us the opportunity to render high-quality assets at speed.”
