Homebase automates supply chain

By Retail Technology | Wednesday April 6 2022 | UPDATED 06.04.22

Home and garden retailer Homebase has selected a new partner to automate and optimise supply chain processes

Homebase will use Relex services in stores across the UK and Ireland, three distribution centres and online.

It will support forecasting and replenishment, allocations and promotional forecasting.

Homebase selected the Relex Living Retail Platform for its ability to address key challenges from a single platform and automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency. It was also impressed by Relex’s use of machine learning and AI to process in-store and online data to generate accurate forecasts, allocate and replenish stock automatically and reduce out-of-stocks.

Tracy Mallinson, head of central merchandising at Homebase, said: “Availability is key to making sure we’ve always got the right products in stock for our customers to complete their home and garden projects, and Relex helps us do just that.”
