Walmart adds virtual dorms

Retail giant Walmart is gearing up for the return to school with new shippable virtual dorm rooms

Walmart’s immersive commerce experience Walmart Realm is enabling college students to explore and shop five virtual dorm rooms.

Each dorm includes a mini game, surprise elements and social content from the dorms chosen creators.

Justin Breton, head of brand marketing innovation at Walmart, said: “We’ve simplified the discovery and shopping experience based on real customer feedback, including improved commerce and engagement interaction points.”
