Exclusively incorporates device reputation capability into identity management services

 

GB Group (GB), an identity management provider, has announced an exclusive strategic alliance with device reputation service, iovation for preventing online fraud and abuse.

 

GB has chosen to collaborate with iovation and use its device reputation technology and database of device intelligence. The iovation ReputationManager 360 service will be available as part of GB’s global identity verification, compliance and fraud reduction solutions, powered by its ID3 technology, which allows GB’s customers to identify devices associated with known fraud, suspicious behaviour, or characteristics correlated to high risk.

 

The UK firm said iovation will play a key role in its new fraud management solutions offering, which is designed to harness the power of shared information across organisations.

 

Taking a collaborative approach

 

It provides the ability to check a customer’s application details, physical location and device identity across various sources. Customer details can then be cross-referenced against centrally managed data sources containing evidence of previously suspicious fraudulent activity registered by other contributing members to each scheme.

Not only does iovation provide the most established technology to do that, they also invented the ability to share device reputations across industries, and that makes iovation a perfect fit for the direction we’re going,” said Russell Persand-Carter, product innovations manager for GB.
